CLINICAL STUDIES

Scientists have studied the Noni plant for decades hoping to unlock the secrets of its tremendous impact on the body. In study after study, Noni researchers have discovered scientifically what the Traditional Polynesian Healers have always known. IT WORKS!!!

Studies have shown Noni to stimulate the immune system, inhibit the growth of tumors, regulate proper cell function and actually regenerate damaged cells. Scientists now understand that Noni works at the cellular level to cause cell regeneration and also significantly increase the body’s ability to absorb and utilize nutrients such as vitamins and minerals.

*In a report to the 83rd annual meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research in 1992 (A.K. Hirazumi, E. Furusawa, S.C.Chou, C Okano and C. Chin, University of Hawaii, Dept. of Pharmacology and Dept. of Medicine) said that Noni was shown to significantly prolong the life of mice with implanted Lewis lung carcinoma. Their conclusion was that it seems to suppress tumor growth indirectly by stimulating the immune system. The mechanism of stimulation is still unknown and under Study.
  

*Published in Pacific Science, a quarterly devoted to the biological and physical sciences of the Pacific Region, the fruit of the Noni was shown to exhibit moderate antibacterial properties against the bacteria M. pyrogenes, E. coli and Ps aeruginosa.

*An article published Feb. 1992, Professor of Botany at the University of Hawaii, Isabella Abbott, was quoted as saying "People are crazy about this plant. They use it for diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer and many other illnesses."

*Former U of H Researcher, R. M. Heinicke, states that the fruit of Noni contains a natural alkaloid xeronine, as well as a chemical that is converted to xeronine in the digestive tract. The ailments he believes may possibly be helped by Noni are: high blood pressure, menstrual cramps, arthritis, gastric ulcers, sprains, injuries, mental depression, senility, poor digestion, arteriosclerosis, blood vessel problems, drug addiction and pain.

*Dr. Joseph Betz, a Research Chemist with the F.D.A.’s Division of Natural Products Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition states, "Morinda Citrifolia has been tested for a number of biological activities in animal and anti-microbial studies." He reports that the dried fruit has a smooth muscle stimulation activity and histaminergic effect and also reported as possessing analgesic and tranquilizing activity.

*In the Sept. 93 issue of Cancer Letters, a report out of Keio University and The Institute of Biomedical Sciences in Japan claimed isolation of a new anthraquinone Noni compound which induced normal morphology and cytoskeletal structure in K-ras-NRK cancer cells.

*Pets: Pets can also take Noni, for large dogs, 1 cap per 50 lbs. cats or small dogs, 1/4 to 1/2 capsule. Mix with small amount of water or Colloidal Silver and using an eye dropper, squirt Noni into the mouth of the smaller animals. Some animals like the taste of Noni and will eat it without a problem. For cuts, wounds, bites, rashes and other skin problems, just apply Noni paste to problem area.

As a Dietary Supplement, 2 capsule once a day with a full glass of water, or mix contents of capsules with your favorite juice. For best results, Noni should be taken on an empty stomach 1/2 hour before a meal or 3 hours after eating. Adjust as needed, (Or As Directed By Your Physician).

Noni is also traditionally applied in paste form to treat a wide variety of skin problems such as burns, cuts, wounds, bruises, rashes, boils, shingles, eczema, hemorrhoids, and many others from skin cancer to liver spots. It’s used as a skin moisturizer, healer and rejuvenator.

Make a thin paste by mixing one capsule of Maui Noni with a small amount of warm water in a dish. Apply to desired area. For burns or wounds, cover with moist bandage. Change as necessary.
